The F-117 Stealth Fighter Association (SFA) was originally chartered as a non-profit corporation in the state of Nevada, to organize and coordinate periodic reunions celebrating key events in the history of the F-117 Aircraft, by those individuals involved in the creation and operation of the F-117 Stealth Fighter Aircraft. The SFA is now a non-profit organization based in Texas.
F-117 Stealth Fighter Association Mission Statement
The purpose of the Stealth Fighter Association is to preserve the legacy of the F-117A as the First-Generation Stealth Fighter, provide educational awareness of its technological development and contributions to the evolution of today’s Fifth and Sixth Generation stealth aircraft. In doing so, the Corporation will operate as a private foundation through which its efforts and activities will serve to preserve, over time, the institutional knowledge and cohesion of individuals whose expertise and experiences might further the development of others in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). To perform all activities to educate through various forums, and to organize periodic Anniversary events to celebrate the accomplishments of the aircraft’s legacy.
The SFA is now certified as a Texas-based non-profit organization. Additionally, the Internal Revenue Service has approved the SFA as a 501(C)3 tax exempt organization, thus allowing for Federal tax deduction of contributions made in support of the SFA mission.
